Having recently joined the Marketing department at CASINO 2000, Lola Jacob has spent the last few weeks discovering what goes on behind the scenes at a complex that combines shows, fine dining and entertainment. Between writing, organising and creativity, we take a look at her daily life through a few questions.
What are your main responsibilities?
I am mainly involved in creating content for social media, particularly TikTok, promoting the complex’s events and activities, and writing news articles for the website. I also help the team with various projects as needed, each in their own area of expertise, which allows me to get involved in several aspects of marketing and gain a broader view of CASINO 2000’s communications.
What has surprised you most since you arrived?
I didn’t expect such a wide variety of activities in one place. Between the CHAPITO hall, the restaurants, bars, casino and professional events, there’s always something going on. I was also impressed by the work that goes on behind the scenes: each event requires precise coordination between several departments.
What are you learning most from this experience?
I’m learning how to structure a message, adapt content to the medium and understand the communication challenges of a complex of this scale. It’s a very enriching experience that allows me to develop both my creativity and my rigour.
How are you settling into the team?
Even though I only arrived recently, I was quickly integrated and involved in ongoing projects. The team placed their trust in me quite quickly, which has allowed me to participate actively in communication activities and gain autonomy over the weeks.
What do you like most about your internship so far?
What I appreciate most is the variety. One day might be spent writing, another capturing and preparing content for social media, or thinking about how to promote an event. There’s never a dull moment, and each project allows me to learn more about how CASINO 2000 works as a whole.
This internship also offers an immersion into the inner workings of CASINO 2000: a place where every detail counts in order to offer visitors a complete experience, from entertainment to fine dining.
