Michael Jones, a naturalized British musician, is an icon of French rock.
He began his musical career in France in the 1970s with the group Taï Phong, where he replaced Jean-Jacques Goldman. This encounter marked the beginning of a long collaboration between the two artists. In 1985, they co-wrote the hugely successful hit Je te donne. In 1990, with Carole Fredericks, they formed the Fredericks Goldman Jones trio, producing such iconic songs as À nos actes manqués.
In 2024, after a career spanning over 50 years, Michael Jones announced his retirement, planning a final farewell tour in 2025, with a concert at the Olympia on September 28, 2025.
Nevertheless, he continues to share his passion for music, notably through the L’Héritage Goldman project, where he interprets Jean-Jacques Goldman songs alongside young artists.
