CASINO 2000 is delighted to welcome one of the most unique talents on the Brazilian comedy scene to its stage: Raphael Ghanem. Between theatre, television and stand-up, this accomplished artist captivates audiences with his charisma, comic precision and exceptional stage presence.

Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Raphael Ghanem, now 35, began his artistic training at the age of 14 at the National Academy of Actors. There he took courses in television, theatre and cinema, laying a solid foundation for a promising career. A year later, he continued his studies at Maria Clara Machado’s Tablado Theatre, where he practised free improvisation for nearly nine years, under the guidance of renowned teachers.

He then furthered his training at the Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras, studied Commedia dell’Arte with Milo Sabino, and learned improvisation techniques from Dani Ocampo and Fernando Caruso. At the same time, Raphael took his first steps in stand-up comedy in 2009, a genre he has never left since. His solo show has taken him to all of Brazil’s capital cities as well as hundreds of towns in the interior.

Raphael Ghanem is also a familiar face on television. He has appeared in numerous popular series and soap operas, including Malhação, Verdades Secretas, A Lei do Amor, Verão 90, and the Netflix series B.O.
