Since this year, the Purple Lounge has been setting the tone with Purple Live Sessions, evenings where live music, a festive atmosphere and the pleasure of getting together become one. At the end of January, two events will enrich the programme with elegant and intimate musical worlds to be enjoyed over dinner or a drink, with friends or as a couple.

Friday 23rd January at 10pm – Carolina & Jason

Born from a meeting in the spring of 2023, Carolina & Jason form a close-knit duo, united by a shared passion for jazz and the stage. Together, they create a warm and cosy atmosphere, blending traditional jazz, blues and bossa nova, enriched with contemporary touches.

On vocals, Carolina Marcelino captivates with her soft and expressive voice. After training in classical piano at the conservatory, she turned to jazz and developed a personal, sensitive and contemporary style, nourished by encounters with artists from the Portuguese scene.
On guitar, Jason Kavanagh, an experienced musician who has performed on numerous British and European stages, brings a subtle and elegant style. Now based in Luxembourg, he pursues his musical projects while passing on his passion.

Their repertoire ranges from jazz standards to modern arrangements, leaving plenty of room for improvisation. An ideal evening to let yourself be carried away by the music and the unique atmosphere of the Purple Live Sessions.

Saturday 24 January at 10 p.m. – Riverflow

The next day, it’s time for Riverflow, a duo formed in Luxembourg in 2023 by Mylène (vocals) and Laurent (guitar). Their sound blends soul, indie folk and pop, carried by delicate melodies and evocative lyrics.

After the release of their first EP, Daydream, in 2023, Riverflow is continuing on its path with a new album project, Next to the Trees, expected in 2026. Their intimate and sincere music is equally suited to small venues and festivals, always with the same authenticity.

For their appearance at the Purple Lounge, the duo will perform an acoustic set, alternating between original compositions and classic covers. An evening to be savoured to the full, in an atmosphere conducive to listening and sharing.
