In 2002, CASINO 2000 introduced the “PLAY IT SAFE” programme to limit the risks associated with problem gambling and to pro-actively raise customer awareness of responsible gambling.
Our staff in contact with gaming customers are trained to provide information on responsible gambling and to offer assistance if required. In certain situations, our staff may request a meeting with the customer.
The PLAY IT SAFE team, made up of 6 room managers, can meet customers, analyse their level of risk and work with them to put in place appropriate measures. Customers will be offered interviews if any behaviour has been observed that may be linked to problem gambling.
We recommend an interview with a member of the PLAY IT SAFE team for each ban and each restriction on visits.

Once a ban has been imposed, the customer will no longer have access to the casino for the duration of the period defined (between 1 month and 5 years). This period cannot be revised or revoked until it expires. At the end of the period, an interview with the “PLAY IT SAFE” team is required prior to re-authorisation of access to the casino.
In certain situations, customers may prefer to limit their visits (to one or more per month). The customer will be able to access the casino according to the terms of the limitation: in number of visits (per week, per month, per year) for the duration of the defined period. At the end of the period, a further meeting with the PLAY IT SAFE team is required before the visit restriction is lifted.
