HOTEL CASINO 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains has reached another milestone in its history, having officially renewed its 4-Star Superior classification on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, for a period of four years.
Already holding this distinction, the hotel has once again confirmed the quality of its facilities, services and overall guest experience. This renewed classification rewards the extensive preparation work carried out with rigour and commitment by the HOTEL CASINO 2000 teams.

An official plaque presented in person by the Minister
The official plaque presentation took place on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, in the presence of Lex Delles, Luxembourg’s Minister of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism. Presented directly at the hotel, the plaque officially marks the renewal of the 4-Star Superior classification for the next four years.
Beyond the official ceremony itself, the personal presentation of the plaque represents a particularly symbolic moment for the establishment. It highlights the work carried out by the teams, their professionalism and their daily commitment to quality, comfort and the guest experience.
This distinction confirms HOTEL CASINO 2000’s position among Luxembourg’s leading hotels. By retaining its 4-Star Superior classification, the hotel continues its development with the same ambition: to offer every guest a pleasant, comfortable and memorable stay in Mondorf-les-Bains.

A demanding assessment based on more than 600 criteria
Obtaining the 4-Star Superior classification requires compliance with more than 600 criteria, covering areas such as guest facilities, reception and hotel services, cleanliness and maintenance, accessibility, visitor information, additional services, the overall quality of the guest experience, and the quality and comfort of the rooms.
Each criterion was carefully reviewed to ensure that the application accurately reflected the level of service and standards maintained by HOTEL CASINO 2000. This meticulous preparation enabled the hotel to demonstrate once again its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
An official procedure overseen by the Ministry and HORESCA
The classification forms part of Luxembourg’s official hotel classification system, a voluntary scheme established by the relevant ministry in cooperation with the Fédération Nationale des Hôteliers Restaurateurs et Cafetiers, HORESCA.
The classification is based on criteria established by HOTELSTARS UNION, which harmonises hotel standards across several European countries.
After the application was submitted via the official Classification.lu platform, the file was forwarded to HORESCA. An inspection of the hotel was then organised to verify HOTEL CASINO 2000’s compliance with the required criteria.
Following the inspection, the assessors submitted a classification recommendation to the Ministry. The application was subsequently validated and formally approved by the Minister.

An inspection confirming the hotel’s high standards
The visit by HORESCA representatives and a government representative was an important stage in the classification process.
The inspection provided an opportunity to assess the hotel’s various areas, facilities and services in practical terms. It also highlighted the daily work carried out by the teams to maintain a consistently high level of quality.
The approval confirms that HOTEL CASINO 2000 continues to meet the requirements associated with the 4-Star Superior classification.
For the hotel, this achievement represents far more than an official distinction. It reflects an ongoing commitment to providing every guest with a complete, comfortable and high-quality experience.
