Between Self-Deprecating Humor and Improvisation
With her boundless energy, theatrical flair and self-deprecating humor, the comedian drew the audience into her quirky world. Her observations on everyday life, expressive gestures and natural charm brought a lively rhythm to the show, leaving plenty of room for surprises.
Interactions with the audience were a highlight throughout the evening. Meryem Benoua notably read out Instagram messages that audience members had sent her before the show, instantly creating a sense of connection with the crowd.
Among the most memorable moments, one audience member’s hilarious laughter became part of the show. Meryem Benoua affectionately nicknamed her “Riquiqui”, sparking an improvised running joke that had the entire room laughing. And when the comedian asked a man in the front row to take off his shoes to show the audience his red Nike sneakers, the laughter grew even louder.
Generous and spontaneous, Meryem Benoua delivered a lively performance at the CHAPITO, filled with surprises and moments of genuine connection. An evening where the unexpected became part of the show and the audience needed no encouragement to laugh.
After the show, we caught up with Meryem BENOUA’s audience!
