Born in Minnesota, along the legendary Route 61, Cobi draws his inspiration from the roots of American blues. From a young age, he developed a passion for the guitar, honing his craft while performing in clubs and smoky bars across the United States. Over the years, those countless nights on the road shaped his unique musical identity and eventually led him to Los Angeles, where his talent quickly caught the attention of Lyor Cohen, then co-president of Def Jam Records.

His debut single, Don’t You Cry For Me, became an instant success, reaching the top of Spotify charts worldwide as well as the number one spot on SiriusXM Spectrum Radio. Cobi went on to establish himself with the EP Songs From The Ashes Pt.1, followed by the albums Songs From The Ashes and Love In The Wildwood. Through these releases, he has crafted a rich musical universe that effortlessly blends rock, soul and contemporary influences.

In 2023, during a stay in Paris, Cobi recorded the first tracks of his new EP, Sugar Man, at the renowned Studio Ferber. Produced between Los Angeles and Paris, the record combines sun-soaked indie rock with dreamy pop melodies and received enthusiastic praise from leading music media, including Rolling Stone, FIP and OUI FM.
