Carolina and Jason began playing together in the spring of 2023 and came together through their love of music and passion for performance. As a jazz duo, Carolina and Jason focus on creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere, blending elements of traditional jazz, blues and bossa nova with modern sensibilities. Their repertoire features a mix of classic jazz standards and contemporary arrangements that showcase their unique sonic and improvisational skills.

Carolina Marcelino (vocals) is a singer with a rich, gentle and moving voice. Her musical education ranges from classical piano at the conservatory to jazz. She has supplemented her passion for music with singing lessons and workshops with renowned professionals on the Portuguese music and stage scene. She brings a modern twist to classic jazz standards, as well as a selection of pieces that showcase her versatile talent.

Jason Kavanagh (guitar) is an experienced guitarist who has honed his craft through years of study and performances in various jazz ensembles. After completing his music studies at university in the UK, Jason spent several years in London, playing with a wide range of musicians and ensembles. He currently resides in Luxembourg where he teaches guitar. His playing style encompasses a deep understanding of jazz harmony and perfectly complements Carolina’s voice, resulting in a truly dynamic and engaging performance.
